Josie & David Wedding

Was it love at first sight? Yes!

How did you get engaged? David snuck into my classroom before school one day and wrote on my chalkboard "Will you marry me?" When I walked in I first saw roses on my desk, then I saw the board and then David came out from behind me and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

One word to describe the way your groom looked on the wedding day?  Calm

One word to describe the way your bride looked on the wedding day?  Radiant

 Groomsmen, always up to something:)

Anna, putting the finishing touches on the birthday cake she made for David's grandmother and Josie's aunt - she also made the vegan cake pops on the right!  Soooooo delicious!

I love how the kiddies can't help but dig into the cake asap!  Look at the little boy in the back!

Seriously the BEST Father of the Bride speech EVER!  I was in tears, I was laughing so much.  Thanks Jay!

What were your official wedding colors and what was the inspiration? Fall theme: tan, espresso, red tones for flowers.

What is the official name for the bridesmaid color? Praline

How did you make your wedding personal to you? We planned it ourselves. Involved family and friends. Our good friend and neighbor did the flowers, you took the photos, our good friend is the chef at Venue who did all the food, my cousin Anna made the cake pops and b-day cake for my aunt and David's grandmother. My mom made the flower girl dresses and lots of friends and family made the caramel apples.

What song played for your first dance? Fly Me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra

Favorite wedding day memory?
Josie: Katelyn dancing in the party bus and my aunt crying when we sang happy b-day to her
David: the shoe game DJ Romeo had us play

What was the best part about planning your wedding? Being done planning it!

How did you know they were "the one"?  An instant connection.

Why are you two so perfect together? We compliment each other, he's outgoing, I'm shy. I'm responsible, David.... is not quite as responsible. We keep each other grounded.

Where did you go on your first date? The Dish
